Racing Pigeon Supplies And Techniques

There are numerous ways of training racing pigeons. Some are easier compared to others while some are better however, the major thing to be considered is, finding a strategy that'll work both for you and your loft. There are several ways on how to train racing pigeons and some of it are listed in the next paragraphs.

Number 1. Natural Systems

Both birds and hens are put into raced. They are mating and bred as the nature is intended to and at the same time, allowed to race after mate.

Number 2. Widowhood

After the birds have been mated, the first set of eggs that hatched, the hen will be removed. Only the male birds will be trained and raced throughout this point. It is because of the reason that male birds are the one allowed to have contact with the hen when it is returned from a toss. This is given as its reward.

Number 3. Celibacy System

Right after the first set of eggs are hatched and both of the birds are separated by thick and solid partitions, they're not allowed to see each other or even be with each other. Both however are permitted to race and train but for the rest of season, they're separated. Number 4. Jealousy System

This is taking advantage of the pigeon's emotions in order to win races. On the other hand, this can be quite dangerous to the health of the racing pigeon loft as the male birds involved will begin to dislike each other and even fight at times.

But, if you still pursue this method, what you must do is put the first bird together with the hen and let them be for few hours. Once the time has passed, remove the bird from the hen. Then after, put the other pigeon with the hen and redo the process. In a separate basket, let the first male pigeon to see the other pigeon with his hen. Do this for the two pigeons. On the race day, both of them is going to race faster as they think that the other one is with the hen. One risk of this is that, they may arrive at the same time and fight each other, which causes harm and injury to the birds. As a matter of fact, this is one of the reason why many experts in racing pigeon supplies are rarely suggesting this method to other breeders and racers.
